Relative clauses in French Sign Language (LSF): some preliminary results

Abstract : We report preliminary findings on the morpho-syntactic structure of relative constructions in French Sign Language (LSF). We describe two manual markers that are analyzed as d-like relative pronouns and we show that LSF has both internally and externally headed relative clauses. We offer a unified derivation for both types of relative clauses.
